Abstract
The 'new normal' is a policy response from the government in its efforts to accelerate the recovery process from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the tourism sector as one of the most affected sectors of COVID-19 must also be part of the process, it is necessary to study a new normal devoted to tourism. Based on this description, this article is intended to construct a new normal model in tourism. The research method used in this research is explorative. The results of the study revealed that the basis for modelling the new normal in tourism consists of two, namely the determination of public health as a priority in the form of COVID-19 countermeasures and the sustainability of tourism activities to support the socio-economic development of the community. The new normal in tourism is aimed at two parties, namely the stakeholders of the tourist attraction which must ensure the tourist attraction is safe from the spread of COVID-19 and to tourists who must always be alert to the spread of COVID-19 which is possible to infect when conducting tourism activities in the tourist attraction being visited.
