The Economic Growth and the Income Gap/Economic Inequality in Sulawesi

Abstract


This study aims to determine the influence of primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors in Sulawesi. Further, thus study refers to secondary research due to the data are obtained from six provinces comprises (Sulawesi Utara, Sulawesi Tengah, Sulawesi Tenggara, Sulawesi Barat and Gorontalo). Those data are obtained from Indonesia Statistics and implemented through a simple regression analysis panel.

The result shows that the primary and tertiary sectors are positive and significantly influence the income gap. In contrast the secondary income is negative and significant on the income gap in Sulawesi.
